Charlie Calder-Potts

Charlie is a self taught painter living and working in Paris. Over the past few years she has had many notable exhibitions and commissions including a solo show with Fine Art Commissions Ltd (Bury Street, St James’s), a solo stand with FAC at Art London 2011 and installation aluminium commissions of up to 16ft x 6ft.

Whilst Charlie exhibits mainly in London she has also exhibited in New York, Singapore, Amsterdam and France with HUS Gallery, Rebecca Hossack Gallery and Byard Art. Charlie works on both metal sheet (aluminium, copper, brass and steel) and paper using mixed media as a means of creating her unique style. Her work is inspired by literary figures such as William Cowper, Dylan Thomas and Seamus Heaney and it is from these and other writers that she draws her titles, themes and subjects.
