Judith Barker

There can be moments in life when we are so overwhelmed by an experience that even our memory does not have the capacity to process properly. Judith’s relief prints are her first new work in four years. Her artistic practice is her way of reconnecting with life. By using natural resources to create symbolic images she is seeking to uncover traces of the material world, to stimulate the senses, intrigue the intellect and recover memory.

Judith is a survivor of throat cancer. Her latest prints are deliberate creative acts that celebrate life and a determination to be positive and constructive in the face of all it throws at us.
