June has settled herself into a ‘Maximalist’ box. She says “I am definitely a proponent of a ‘more is more’ approach.”

She works exclusively with her own hand monoprinted paper, often creating texture & interest with hand made stencils or stamps. She uses a gelliplate, which is more commonly used as a mixed media craft tool. June says a really accurate observation of her process is that she is painting with paper.

June wants her art to be down to earth, accessible and interactive. When you hold one of her cubes, feel the weight, turn it to see the other faces, you share the same experience that she has.
